How to read an entry on this site

What the fields mean, and what we are not claiming

These entries are deliberately shaped differently from a typical review. This page explains each part so you can tell what is verified, what is not, and where the judgement starts.

If you only read one thing here: the gaps list is the part we would want you to read first.

The jobs, and what covers them

Sourced facts

Canva — Every price, plan name and feature claim carries the vendor's own URL next to it. We do not cite resellers or roundups, because they go stale and are often copied from each other.

What it is bad at: A sourced fact only tells you what the vendor's page said on the check date. It does not tell you the page is honest or the product is good.

The gaps list

HeyGen — Each entry ends with what we could not verify — including cases where two of the vendor's own pages contradict each other. That list is the most useful part of the page.

What it is bad at: Items appear there because we could not source them, not because they are false. Treat them as things to check yourself.

Pros and cons

ElevenLabs — Written to be useful to someone deciding whether to pay, including when the honest answer is "not for you".

What it is bad at: This is editorial judgement, not a measurement. Where a limitation comes from user reports rather than our own testing, the evidence section says so.

Why there is no star rating

Descript — We do not publish a score for a tool we have not used. When we start testing hands-on, we will publish the test and the rating together.

What it is bad at: This makes the site harder to skim than one that hands out 4.5 out of 5. That is the trade we chose.

The last-checked date

Suno — Shown on every page so you can judge freshness yourself rather than trusting a site that never updates.

What it is bad at: Pricing in this category changes often, so a date more than a few months old should be treated as a prompt to re-check the vendor's page.

What this page is not

This is not a ranked list, and there is no "best" pick. Every entry linked above carries its own sourced facts, its own list of unverified items, and its own last-checked date.

Across the entries on this site we currently publish 70+ unverified items, and every entry carries at least one. That number is the honest measure of how much of this category we can actually confirm.
